The three Level 9 computer locations are selected from the neighborhood's houses. Find the console outside the central gated M.E.G. house and read its map: the red-marked houses contain the computers you need in the current run. Visit those buildings and finish each computer interaction to open the central gate.
A fixed list such as “the first, third and last house” is not a dependable solution. Use your console map, then confirm completion there instead of searching every house indiscriminately.
Read the live map before entering houses

After arriving in Darkened Suburbs from the cave route, make your way toward the gated M.E.G. house and its console. Watch for the Neighborhood Watch while crossing the streets; the large eye-like entity announces its approach with heavy footsteps.
The map identifies three target buildings in red. Match their positions against the nearby roads, the central gate and your approach. Your character's facing does not automatically match the top of the screen, so establish the map orientation before choosing a house.
If you are playing in a team, agree which marked house each player means. Use its position relative to the central gate or a recognizable road rather than numbering houses from different personal starting points.
Search the marked building for its terminal

Enter a target house and search for the interactive computer. The interior search is part of the task: a terminal can be in an easy room or a less convenient part of the building. A video showing a computer near its entrance is not a promise that your next marked building has the same arrangement.
Do not assume a Wretch is required as proof you found the correct house. Some house arrangements are safer than others. The red marker on the console establishes the target; the actual computer interaction establishes completion.
Before using the terminal, identify an escape route and any lockable door between you and a Wretch. Opening a computer occupies your attention, so prepare the room before starting rather than trying to find cover after a threat has already entered.
Close and lock doors against Wretches
The houses can contain Wretches that see as well as hear you. Crouching reduces noise but does not make standing in their sight safe.
A shut door alone is insufficient because these Wretches can open doors. Look on the upper part of a closed door for the small locking slider and engage it. You will need to release it again to open the door later, so remember which room you secured.
Use a lockable room when it separates you from the threat, and avoid selecting a dead end without first understanding the way out. If chased before you can secure the computer room, break the immediate pursuit and return to the terminal once you have another opening.
The street threat and indoor threat also need different responses. Houses provide cover from the Neighborhood Watch, but entering one blindly can place you near its Wretch. Check both the approach and interior rather than assuming that crossing a doorway solves every danger.
Stay in the interaction until it finishes
Use the computer and wait for its operation to complete. Leaving the interface early interrupts the task, so merely opening the screen does not count as activating the terminal.
Choose a moment when the room is controlled. In co-op, a teammate can watch the approach while you finish, provided everyone understands which door must remain secure. Avoid another player unlocking your cover without warning.
After a successful interaction, check the console map again. A completed target loses its red marker, giving you a direct way to distinguish finished houses from those that still need attention.
Do not intentionally rely on dying as a progress method. Difficulty and run state matter, especially on Nightmare. The map's current marker state is the useful confirmation of what remains.
Resolve the missing third computer
| Situation | Check next |
|---|---|
| You entered a house with no computer | Compare the building against a red marker on the live map |
| You used a screen but the target stays red | Confirm that the computer operation reached completion |
| The map has one red house left | Reorient from the central gate and search that marked building |
| A previous run's house is empty | Use the new run's marked locations instead |
| All three interactions are finished | Return to the central M.E.G. gate |
Target houses can change on a fresh entry to the level. A death within a run does not necessarily create a new layout, so do not assume that every respawn makes your search notes useless. Check the live markers after any restart or transition before deciding what to repeat.
Finish at the central gate
Once all three computers have completed, the gate into the central M.E.G. house opens. This is the end of the computer-search task, and you can enter the house and follow the basement route to the Abandoned Outpost.
The separate exit gate with a card reader is a later requirement. Activating the house computers opens the M.E.G. base; it does not immediately provide the card needed to leave the entire level. Keep those two gates distinct when checking why a door is still locked.
